Natalie Petroskey

Natalie started playing lacrosse in high school in Scottsdale, Arizona which led to her playing career at Arizona State University. Her last year playing, the Sun Devils became the Champions of the Southwest Conference defeating Santa Clara and placing 8th overall at Nationals. Natalie went on to serve in the United States Navy for 12 years while picking up coaching positions when not deployed. She served as the Head Coach for a local high school in San Diego, California before moving to Virginia Beach. After moving to Virginia, Coach Nat took over as the Head Coach for Kellam High School. She stepped into additional roles in the lacrosse community such as tournament director, travel coach, the Girls Commissioner for the youth, and developmental coach before starting Legacy Lacrosse.
In the past three years, Coach Nat has coached two teams for the Under-Armour All American Tournaments, one being the DC team. Her high school program received the Team Sportsmanship of the Year award given by USA Lacrosse and her Varsity team became the Undefeated Champions in the Hampton Roads Lacrosse League for the 2021 Spring Season. She also led the USA Lacrosse Nationals Team Virginia to a Championship win as the Head Coach. Her most current accolade is becoming the 2022 USA Lacrosse Tidewater Coach of the Year.

She has coached and worked with players of all ages to help develop and teach the fundamentals of lacrosse for over 15 years. She believes in meeting kids where they are, at any age. Lacrosse has been an amazing outlet for her to teach the game, but more importantly to love and empower the next generation. Her passion for children goes beyond the field and that is what she strives to create at Legacy. Coach Nat is married to her husband Steve and they have three sons, Maximus, Marcus, and Maverick.
